it's broken now, there's something in the update notes about fixing an issue with pixel phones and gapless playback, but it's made things worse on my pixel. I just skipped a song and it kept playing and played the new song at the same time. if I have gapless on it will play the next song but there's no audio, sometimes it loses audio if I pause and start playing again. It was fine before but it's a mess now

Since last update any new track I add jumps/skips. I have checked the tracks on other players and they play fine. Pulsar was great until the March update. Update 31/5. No change with latest May 2025 update. FLAC files still skipping/jumping. Update 2nd June: Have manually changed in 'settings' music player from media player to exoplayer. This appears to have resolved the issue.

The best music player app I've found! I've used it for years across at least 3 different phones, and the experience has always been great. It elegantly does everything I could want it to do. Free, minimal permissions required and no ads or data shared with third-parties. I rarely add reviews for apps, but this one deserved a recommendation.
