Don't create an account! It took months of struggling with it before I worked this out. If you log into an account the app only works if you have internet access, so if you're on a flight you can't use the app. If you delete the account and don't sign in then it works offline. Signing in to the account adds nothing, so it's a completely pointless feature that just makes the app unusable. The app design is appalling, the only redeeming feature is that I rarely need to use it.

Inexplicably you need an Internet connection to load the app, but otherwise the app is designed well and bug free in my experience. I would rate it higher but it's not possible to remove immersion mode (which is technically cool, but I can't think of a practical use for), and you can't store EQ profiles - that and requiring an Internet connection makes me question the person designing the app.

Basic but does what it needs to do. The equaliser has only three bands. There is no "choose my equaliser" application like there is on the Sony headphones app. There does not appear to be an adaptive soune profile that changes settings automatically depending on whether you are indoors or outdoors, sitting or moving, etc. There is no "tap to listen" option where you can temporarily mute the sound and engage pass-through if someone speaks. But the headphones are best in class so it all evens out
