No longer allows me to save purchased books to my library. If I refresh the library (pull down) the majority of my purchased books would be removed (when they were added). Customer support/troubleshooting provided no solutions. However, still more efficient for uploading and reading pdf books and external epubs than kindle.

I cannot download the ebooks I have purchased for some reason. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app but it didn't work. It keeps saying "The book cannot be downloaded right now. Try again later." It's been like this all day. This is the first time I am having such an issue with google books. I can still download the samples of unpurchased ebooks though. This is very strange. Help. (april, 2025) issue seems fixed, not too sure how though, still a little slow, rating changed to 4 stars

I love the ACT of reading: sitting in a comfortable space, a freshly made brew within my reach, the feel of the book's textures, and my favourite part - turning over the pages. For me, "reading" a digital book is a completely different experience. I'm still getting used to it tbh. I'm looking forward to exploring the app. It won't keep my partner up at night & I'll be able to read for as long as I want without feeling guilty: it's a great start! I'll update review in a few weeks - stay tuned!
