Can be buggy when pairing or turning on the speakers using the app. It has some good features and uses but the above mentioned issues are years old. I have had UE products since early 2015 these issues have always been present and it's a shame. I will always pick UE over other competitors. response to developers - I have reset the speakers countless times and they all have up to date firmware. It's a persistent issue with all UE products. it's mentioned countlessly on reviews over many years.

awesome little speaker. totally perfect and loud enough for days at the beach or lazing by the pool. if it falls in the pool, no problem it will totally withstand that, it will detect water and shut off to protect itself, and keep working as soon as you pull it out. link them with mates speakers for those get togethers and enjoy music

The app is OK, and a massive improvement over its predecessor (for the original Megaboom). The ability to select a particular Megaboom speaker to manage is a great addition. However, there are two main issues. The EQ feature randomly changes profile, which is infuriating and bizzare. Most annoying are issues with the Party Up feature. I have two Megaboom 3, which I connect in stereo. The Party Up stereo connect doesn't always establish, and is prone to dropping out mid way through a song. This is a problem when the two speakers and my phone are a meter apart, with a clear line of sight between them. This may be a problem with the speakers firmware, but they are both up to date according to the app.
