Attempting to unlock the bootloader using this app is seemingly impossible now, despite trying again at exactly midnight (Beijing time) for several days. It is clear that most 'interaction' within the app is just people trying to level up so overall it's a pretty useless app. Through this experience I have lost respect for Xiaomi and certainly will no longer recommend its phones to anyone. I am also considering looking for a phone from another manufacturer that still allows full customisation.

Can't unlock my bootloader. The app is an extremely unnecessary additional step and makes something as easy as unlocking the bootloader, a hideous task. It says "application quota limit reached", and even if you wait those days and try again, it will say the same thing but with additional days, absolutely disgusting, very disappointed with Xiaomi, I'm not buying a Xiaomi phone ever again and I suggest you do the same.

Xiaomi opted for a useless process making your customers apply for authorisation to unlock bootloader on a phone they buy with their money. If it were possible, this app doesn't even deserve a star. Listen up you, if you want control over your phone (meaning if you want to root, tweak personal customisations, use your favourite custom ROMs, and many more) RUN AWAY FROM XIAOMI products. They don't know what customers satisfaction means.
