Mostly helpful, but some core features are unreliable. When you delete a photo on Android, it gets renamed as a dot file (.trashed[xyz...]). Unfortunately this app doesn't discern between dot files and normal files, so they get uploaded anyway. I have to log into my instance to delete all the photos that were already deleted on my phone. The other main issue is file sync to device doesn't really seem to work. You mark files for offline access, but it only downloads a few then gives up.

Nextcloud is excellent. I mainly use the app for retrieving files saved to my self hosted server. PSA: In October last year, Google broke this app by denying permission for it to access all files. If you are complaining about backup and sync of files other than images: that is Google's anti-competitive behaviour, not an issue with Nextcloud. I understand that the next release will have this functionality restored.

Mobile editing is incredibly tedious. Cursor jumps around in spreadsheets, makes editing unreliable. Very easy to make mistakes and lose data. As a whole, i like the Nextcloud ecosystem.. I don't use the app for syncing (using syncthing for that), but if documeny editing was as good as it is on the web app, I'd have no need to find another solution for editing on the phone.
