We used Bolt twice during our stay in Paphos. The first experience was great, although it took a while to get a taxi from our hotel due to the rainy weather, the driver was polite and the journey was smooth. Unfortunately, the second time wasn’t as good because the driver was rude, aggressive, and very argumentative, which really put a damper on things. That said, the app itself is excellent, very easy to use, well-organised, and far cheaper than flagging a taxi 👍

Driver near me scam. There seems to be a scam where drivers are able to trick the system into thinking that they are nearby. However, they are not but are waiting for the timer to run down and then claim the fare as a no-show. This has happened to me on nearly every booking I have made. Never put your credit card details in this app! Even when paying cash, drivers try to make out the fare is calculated wrong and try to charge more. Complete scam app now. AVOID. I WILL BE USING GRAB INSTEAD.

4 years after I gave 5 stars, this app has consistently let me down. These days I hate it. Drivers cancel, don't arrive at the right location. Happened twice 23rd May and got 2 cancellation fees. I could contest, but I'm going to delete my account and the app instead. Good riddance. A shame as this used to be a great hailing app, but it's awful now.
