This app is cumbersome to plan a journey on. To change the dates of a particular leg of travel but not the starting and finishing points, you have to delete that particular leg entirely and add it back with the new dates. It's the same if you want to change start/finish points but not the dates. The planning part of this app is essential as it's linked to your Interail ticket and should make life easier, especially with complex train timetables and connections. This is disappointing.

I find it very confusing to use, especially for special tickets like sleepers and Eurostar. Seem to need to book tickets outside the app, then confirm the journey within the app, and then confirm the use of a travel day. I also get daily messages now asking me to go onto the app in order to keep my pass valid, though I'm not on a travel day. I might be using it wrong but it does not seem to make anything easier!

Thanks for your detailed feedback, Liam. You’re right, some reservations like sleepers or Eurostar still need to be booked outside the app. We know that’s not ideal and are working to improve it. About the reminder message, please contact customer support if it continues.

Brilliant- once learned, but frustrating initially. It would be great if reservations were integrated. We used interrail twice in 2024 and again in 2025. The same problems with making reservations persist and are very frustrating. The interrail (browser) website is particularly awful. While I appreciate that it my be very difficult to make reservations easy with so many countries and rail companies involved, it's ludicrous that the trip you plan in the app is not shared with the website.
