About this app

Getting started

It takes just a few minutes to get started with Santander Mobile Banking.
Already a customer? You'll need your Personal ID, the phone number and/or email address that you've registered with us and your Security Number.
Open the app and select 'Logon'.
Follow the on screen instructions

Once set up be sure to allow 'push notifications' to see any messages from us on your phone’s home screen.

New to Santander? You can now open a Personal Current Account using our app. Simply open the app and select 'New to Santander'.

We'll guide you through the application process to set up your account straight away.

Remember …

Never share a One Time Passcode (OTP) or your Security Number with anyone. Not even a Santander employee.
Santander will never ever call to ask to log on to your mobile device or computer, or ask you to download any type of software.

Santander Mobile Banking will not run on devices that have been rooted.

Here we go again. New app. New UI. Why so much white space in the list of transactions? I can only view 5, maybe 6, transactions which results in more frantic scrolling. No option to compact the list. Viewing money in or out used to be a one tap thing. Now it's Filter. Select. Apply. Paying in a cheque hardly ever works. Mar 2025. List of transactions got worse. 25% of the screen devoted merely to transaction date & it disturbs scrolling as this panel appears & disappears.

Unusable because of over-the-top security settings. A message sometimes appears saying "For security reasons it is not possible to use the app while..." but there's no way to expand the message to see what is preventing use. I've tried many times to activate it but upon clicking the emailed link I just get a message saying"Something went wrong. For security reasons please start again." This is terrible UX design. It certainly shouldn't require a phone call to get started!

Issues logging in, app keeps on kicking me out. Once logged in, After I make a transfer or payment, "for security" it wants to log me out every time which is frustrating when trying to send/transfer money to other accounts or payees during a single session. Is this a known bug/issue? "Something went wrong! for security reasons you have been logged out. Please log in again".... Currently can't access the app! Not good!

Hi there, this is strange. Please check you aren't using any VPN or IP address changing software. Please also ensure what you are making the payment you are in an area with a stable connection throughout and try this again. ^WB
